Notched disc blades, or sometimes called scalloped disc blades, were designed to grip and penetrate the soil. The extra bite ensures residue is sized and buried through every field pass. Like our plain disc blades, our notched disc blades can be manufactured in a variety of concavities to meet the needs of the market.

The patented Turbo disc blade is the most recognizable disc blade in the market. Sold exclusively to Great Plains Manufacturing, the Turbo disc blade is specifically designed as a hybrid between a plain and notched disc blade — providing greater wear life, ground grip and speed.

Osmundson’s high-speed disc blade is the newest innovation in vertical tillage. While traditional disc blades are mounted on a gang bolt, the high-speed disc blade is individually mounted with a hub and bearing combination. This allows farmers to till at much faster speeds and perform easy maintenance.

Samurai®

aggressive, high-speed tillage

The patented Samurai disc blade is the most aggressive disc blade that Osmundson manufactures. The edge lasts throughout the life of the product and is specially designed to size residue in the first pass while keeping the blade in the soil. This blade is also suited for all field conditions but excels in wet soil.

With a design derived from our patented Turbo blade, the TurboSpeed disc blade gives farmers an aggressive edge for greater soil disruption in tillage applications. Sold exclusively to Great Plains Manufacturing, the uniquely designed edge penetrates like a plain disc blade while maintaining a positive rotation in the ground. The exclusive petal design also enables the speed disc blade to get sharper as it wears.
